How Can You Prove There Is No God?

Very little causes an atheist to slam his head against the wall more than this one! No one can prove a negative! I can't prove that Batman, Isis or Leprechauns don't exist but they clearly do not! This is the first apologetic that Angus McIvy uses in my Leprechaun Apologetics thesis parodying Christian Apologetics. This argument is such a ridiculous and yet prevalent apologetic among Christians that atheists have devoted whole websites to lampooning it. On these websites, atheists have developed the theology of 'The Invisible Pink Unicorns' and the fact that you can't prove they don't exist proves that they exist!

Jehovah
People have been inventing invisible, magical beings for tens of thousands of years - people believed in them with all their hearts; wars were fought for them; children were sacrificed to them - but they've ALL been fantasy. Therefore if you choose to advance the idea of an invisible, magical being - the ball is in your court. Why is it that Jupiter, Odin, the Ananasi, The Jade Emperor, Quetzacoatl, Allah, Buddha, Ra, Marduk, Zeus, Baal, Asherah, the Coyote etc aren't real but Jehovah is?

Now as to my specific problems with the Jehovah God.. the Bible clearly outlines this being as a childish, confused creature that reacts to each event with shock and then homicidal rage. Surely if your kids did something wrong, you certainly wouldn't jump into their bedroom SHOCKED that they had drawn on the walls and then instead of lecturing them you decide to DROWN them in righteous water! If Jehovah was a real god than I would expect the Bible to be a brilliant book of divinely inspired instruction, scientific insight way before its time and kings who create just and merciful societies. Instead the Bible is just a meandering book of prose sandwiched between stories of bloody genocide and savage theocracies. The Jehovah of the Old Testament had no problem with massacres, whether they were his own people or others that were standing in his way. He had no problem with polygamy, slavery, forcing women to marry their rapists and death sentences handed down at the drop of a hat. The morality of the Old Testament is brutal and savage, the morality expected of a small warring tribe wandering the wilderness but not the morality expected of laws handed down by a real god.

Jesus
Jesus? Let's start where I started in the last paragraph: people have told stories about miracle workers for tens of thousands of years. Mohammed's shadow was said to cure disease but it certainly did not. The Bahagavad Ghita (Krishna book) is filled with stories of miracles - but they never happened. Now let's look at Jesus. Here is a man raising the dead, curing disease, performing overt miracles... and yet only four people write about him decades after his death. (Yes I've read the apocryphal Gospel of Mary and Gospel of Jesus - I'm ignoring those.) The historian Josephus only dedicates a paragraph to him and that paragraph is an obvious interpolation (added later by a different author). If Jesus WAS The Christ, The Son of God, and believing on him was required to enter heaven AND the Bible was the most important tool for that to happen... Wouldn't Jesus have written it down or required a scribe to write his words down exactly as he spoke them? Let's roleplay for a second... "You, Ethiopian, take this Gospel to your country. You, Egyptian, make certain your people will read this. Your lives quite literally depend on this so I have miraculously created a parchment that does not age and cannot be destroyed!" "But Master, why should my people believe you instead of all the other prophets and sorcerers?" "Light the parchment and my words will blaze with fire and not be destroyed." Why didn't anything like this happen? Why are we expected to randomly choose a religion based on our geography and if we randomly choose wrong then we end up in HELL? The explanation of 'FAITH' is the excuse given by conmen and psychics all over the world and it ALWAYS indicates deception and falsehood. When Bronze was first forged early generals didn't accept by 'faith' that it was a better material than copper - they TESTED it! When Archimedes first formed his principle on displacement - he didn't expect people to accept it by blind faith - he demonstrated it! Truth can be demonstrated. Falsehoods require blind faith.
