Apologetics or debates based on Christian sites almost always include rules censoring or outright disallowing the atheist whereas skeptic or atheist websites have no such rules on Christians. Why? Because Christian "arguments" are ridiculous, fragile jokes that can quickly be shown for the logical fallacies they are and this really bothers Christians. As an example we'll look at some weak, pathetic Christian websites and see how they censor debate.
Christian Forums:
Let's look at some rules:
|
Rule No. 5 - No Promotion of Other Religions
5.1 You will not post, attach, use or send any posts, PMs, links, images or files that promote a religion, belief, faith or doctrine other than "Christianity" as defined in Rule 6. For the purposes of this rule, Atheism is to be considered as a "religion". |
First off - it is MORONIC to label atheism a religion and secondly... How the F*CK do you discuss atheism without promoting it? Atheism is the denial of these religious absurdities so I'm "promoting" atheism by disproving theism on this site ergo I should be frightened to discuss it. WEAK AND IDIOTIC! There is NOTHING like this on atheist sites because atheists are not quivering in their boots over those scary Christian apologetics.
6.1 Some forums on this website are provided for Christian discussion only as indicated in the category title.
Again - there's NO atheist site which shields those delicate, scared skeptics from Christians who choose to test the atheist's lack of faith with facts and evidences. This proves how weak and pathetic Christians and Christian apologetics are - they simply can't handle listening to another viewpoint.
Yahoo Group - Apologetics:
In the Christian apologetics group (JOKE!): http://groups.yahoo.com/group/apologetics
The moderator is so scared, so absolutely terrified of a Christian hearing another opinion that he wrote a list of rules that absolutely floored me! I emailed the idiot with his own rules and my response in parentheses. His response was to threaten me with reporting me for email abuse. Shows what a genius we're dealing with.
"This list, while open to non-believers, is focused upon the historic Christian faith."
Then it shouldn't be called apologetics - it should be called... "Traditional_Christianity" or "ChristianTheology_We_dont_like_our_beliefs_questioned". If you call this place "Apologetics" and don't debate nonbelievers then the group is a fraud and a disservice to anyone searching Yahoo groups. Turn the group over to someone else.
"This is not a platform for preaching or presenting anti/non/pseudo Chrisitian ideas. Occasionally, I do allow debate on essentials, but rarely."
Again - then you're not an apologetics group, you're just a "we'd like to keep our hands over our ears and believe whatever nonsense enters our heads, thank you very much" group.
"As list owner, I reserve the right to limit the amount of non-believers presenting their ideas in dialogue."
Well this is going to get copied instantly to my 'ANTIapologetics' website! Saying this admits that you cannot defend your faith with intelligent dialogue - just censorship. This is a good example of what religion is - it has no argument and prefers to kill or censor their heretics rather than argue with them. This is why our American Forefathers were smart enough to rip the poison of religion out of government!)
"If your purpose is only to attempt to draw Christians away from Christ"
Oh heaven forbid that their beliefs get questioned! If a Christian is ON an APOLOGETICS website then he'd better be able to handle skeptical discussion!
", argue or rant and not discuss, then join another list."
Oh - maybe an APOLOGETICS list?
"There are two types of unbelievers- those searching for truth and those searching for an excuse not to believe."
I have NEVER met an 'unbeliever' looking for a reason NOT to believe in eternal life, magic powers, a helpful loving ghost parent... Unbelievers reason their way out of superstition DESPITE their overpowering desire to believe in it.
"Examine your heart and decide which one you are before you subscribe."
In other words - if you're a true unbeliever please don't knock off our rose-colored glasses! There is NOTHING you could've said here that would make me respect this group less! At this point the group is a joke and an exercise in mutual masturbation. If you know that your religion cannot handle skeptical debate than you have admitted that your religion is a hoax. Have fun and keep those rose-colored glasses on!
Realize that this IDIOT has kicked non-christians off of his inappropriately named forum simply for having a better argument!
