CARM Continued: 36 The Bible is Filled with Contradictions.

The author suggests that the faithful should quiz the skeptic as to "what contradiction"?

I can save the skeptic the trouble of answering. There are 60 odd contradictions listed here: Internet Infidels and there are a couple hundred here: Evil Bible. As a former Bible College student who has read three different translations - there is no doubt that contradictions, absurdities and scientific error exists in the Bible.

The Rationalization.
After being frustrated with rationalization after rationalization from a debating Christian one atheist suggested that the word contradiction simply be taken out of the dictionary since contradiction is apparently impossible. When a skeptic demonstrates a contradiction, Christians will often try to rationalize the contradiction by stating that both scriptures are right in their own way. Did Judas fall or did he hang himself? Christians will say that he hanged himself and then fell from the rope. This is asinine as any reasonable person will understand that one of the scriptures would certainly mention both events. The scripture stating that Judas fell would certainly have included his hanging - had the author known about it.
