10 Reasons You SHOULDN'T Believe The Bible

1) Archeology and the fossil record. REAL BIBLE: A Real Bible would be supported by archeology and the fossil record. Scientists would be shocked and surprised as the Bible's creation stories and history was proven over and over. A REAL Bible would refer to an ancient universe, a round earth created long after the universe, real info on the Moon and Stars, the age of dinosaurs, an ice age, Neanderthals, the stone age and maybe Mammoth hunts. A REAL Bible would CERTAINLY include information that could not have been written by a creative storyteller. "And I was brought up (notice that they always say - to heaven - because the universe stops at the sky) and saw the land falling away beneath me. I saw forests and great seas falling underneath me into a round, green ball surrounded by night, stars and a great and powerful sun."

JC BIBLE: The JC Bible is refuted by the fossil record and archeology.

• The world is created a few thousand years ago.
• The world is created before the stars.
• The world is placed on a foundation and does not move.
• There is water above the sky (where rain comes from).
• All animals living concurrently.
• There is a Garden of Eden on earth guarded by Cherubim.
• There is no Ice Age or Dinosaur Age.
• Humans start as farmer/shepherds.
• There is a world-wide flood that reaches the top of mountains.
• Sheep are domesticated long before people speak different languages.
• The Bible makes reference to whole civilizations of Giants.

2) Medicine

REAL BIBLE: A real God speaking through a real Bible would provide important medical information centuries before its time. "And after He showed me the combinations of food that stopped dysentery He brought me unto a small pool where a greyish scum gathered. This is Penicillin and it will save the lives and ease the suffering of multitudes and ye will not have to slaughter a single infant to get it."

JC BIBLE: The JC Bible treats diseases with sacrifices, superstition and magic. Leprosy is treated by draining the blood of birds. The Bible holds physicians in open contempt and demands that the sick have "Faith in the Lord". This attitude has taken the lives of countless children including the daughter of a Pentecostal I knew. "2 Chronicles 16:12 In the thirty-ninth year of his reign Asa became diseased in his feet. His disease was severe, yet even in his disease he did not seek the LORD, but the physicians." No medical instruction is spectacularly more advanced than medical science in any other similar culture - just old, wives medicine and trial and error.

3) Laws

REAL BIBLE:A real God would establish a fair and balanced set of laws and customs. These laws would mimic our current American/British system allowing redresses for wrongs and trial by jury.

JC BIBLE: The laws of the Bible are savage, primitive and steeped in superstition. Death penalites are handed down for working on the sabbath, adultery, premarital sex, homosexuality, cursing, expressing beliefs different from the theocracy or not screaming loud enough when getting raped. If a woman is raped by a man - the man is not executed for this action, instead the woman is forced to marry her rapist. Realize that these laws are handed down by GOD and should be obeyed by the faithful. Devotees are required by GOD to murder infidels immediately and without trial. Why do Christians and Jews claim to believe in this monster and yet will never live by his list of superstitious, intolerant, vicious laws? Either this horror exists and you must be like your god, an infidel-killing monster hating the tolerant, secular west or he doesn't and we can dump this superstition.

4) Government

REAL BIBLE:A real God would've given its people the basis for a balanced, representative government. Checks and balances as well as a legislature would keep leaders honest. Israelis would prize education and learn to make informed choices as the first votes are cast. "And He came and spake to me saying 'Behold, king after king will come in my name slaughtering and enslaving you with authority I have never granted. I will show you the way of the democracy and ye shall bring this truth to the rest of the world.'"

JC BIBLE: The governments of Jehovah are vicious, ignorant theocracies commanded to have nothing to do with neighboring nations that does not involve massacre. The people are commonly enslaved or abused by their god-appointed despots.

5) Prophecy

REAL BIBLE: Prophecies from a real Bible would be accurate and specific. Instead of hearing of a lion devouring a lamb during a tulip festival we would hear of 6 million jews murdered by a descendent of Gomer in a land to the north. We would hear about planes, bombs, the USA, England giving land to the Israelis, assassination of Sadat etc.

JC BIBLE: The prophecies of the Bible are almost always written after the fact. Many do not come true (Tyre is not taken by Nebuchadnezzar) and the Messianic prophecies complete with a utopian Israel certainly do not come true. Anyone would expect the Bible's proIsrael fanaticism to have had SOME prophecy of Hitler which, of course, doesn't exist. The Messianic prophecies claimed by Christians cannot refer to Jesus and are slivers of the original text taken completely out of context.

6) Savage, Vicious, Tribal God - Gentiles

REAL BIBLE: A real creator-god would view all of His creation as His own. He would shepherd and lead his creation fulfilling his long-ranged, never changing plans. This God would be absolutely upset that his creation would be conned into phony religions and make it a point that his creation knew who he was. No one wants to follow a false god so once every civilization knew that this was the real God, they would follow and obey him reflexively. "And when Tyre refused to allow Joshua through, Jehovah appeared before the king and demanded that he relent. The people of Tyre bowed before the pillar of fire and promised that Jehovah was their new God."

JC BIBLE: The JC Bible describes a god of unrelenting and incomparable evil. This is a creature that chooses one culture and leads it in massacre after massacre against the rest of its creation. This monster tells its people to invade established cities, murder all the men, enslave the women and children and then steal the hardwork of generations. In some instances the massacre of infants, mothers and children is demanded even when the generals feel mercy. 7) Savage, Vicious Tribal God - His OWN People!

REAL BIBLE: A real Bible would describe its god as infinite, maybe hard to understand, all powerful, never shaken and with long-ranged, well thought out plans. Should his people get out of line this God like a good manager, King or parent would step in and quickly correct the situation without having to resort to wholesale slaughter.

JC BIBLE: Jehovah is described as a confused, vicious monster - frightened, enraged, repentent and sometimes slaughtering thousands of innocents over the actions of just one or two people. On more than one occassion Moses has to talk Jehovah out of slaughtering the whole Israeli people. Some of the people who are let out of Egypt grumble and so the whole generation is left to die in the desert. David offends this god by taking a census so Jehovah decides to kill 70,000 of his own people. In Deuteronomy 25 we find that some Israelis are worshiping Midian gods. Jehovah decides to reason with the Israelis by slaughtering 24,000 of them with a plague. One of Jehovah's priests sees an Israeli man with a Midianite woman so he gets the idea of murdering them by plunging a spear through both. Jehovah congratulates the Vigilante murderer saying that he wouldn't have stopped killing people if Phinehas hadn't acted. Is this a god or just a mindless killing machine?

8) Confused, Childish Tribal God

REAL BIBLE: A real Bible would describe a creator of incredible intelligence and patience with long ranged plans absolutely independent of the capricious behavior of humans. His words would be wise beyond belief and will amaze men thousands of years after they are spoken.

JC BIBLE: Jehovah is a childish, confused monster god whose words are gasped at with shock by anyone who is capable of feeling anything for his fellow hyuman. He makes humans to be curious, places something of incredible importance near them and then is shocked that they try it out. Instead of disciplining them he curses the entire species and then throws them out of the garden to keep them from eating his immortality fruit. This god is fine with spacecraft but was scared to death of a tower that would enter heaven. It later repents of making people then decides to kill all of us. After killing all but 8 people, this god regrets his own massacre and places his hunting bow in the sky so he won't forget and drown us again. Time and time again this god massacres his own people. On more than one occassion Moses has to keep this god from slaughtering the entire Israeli race - would a REAL god be successfully second-guessed by a human? This god sends an angel to kill a prophet that he also saves by making his donkey talk. He kills thousands in Israel and then repents of killing them. This is the behavior of a psychotic child, not a god!

9) By Their Fruits...

REAL BIBLE: The recipients of the REAL Bible would create the most powerful, advanced culture in the world; dwarfing all other cultures economically, scientifically, militarily and politically. This Bible would create a prosperous, successful society.

JC BIBLE: Instead the worship of Jehovah gets Israel almost nowhere and it trails behind many of its contemporaries. Israel develops nothing of any importance! Our art, philosophy, laws, government and morality can be traced with clarity to Rome and Greece with Jehovah worship having virtually no positive impact. In fact Israel can be compared to the Aztecs - a brutal culture oppressing its people with religion until a more advanced civilization comes in and stomps all over them. I've had Christians tell me that secular governments didn't work until our founders used the Bible to create America. No Fairy Tale out of Mother Goose could be more outrageously fictional! Though the vast majority of America was Christian, our Founders; specifically Franklin, Jefferson, Madison and Paine were stridently secular and sought to create a New Secular Order (Novus Ordo Seclorum) ripping religion the HELL out of government. 10) Real Miracle

REAL BIBLE: A real god would understand that people need a reason to believe in his book over the books of all the other mythologies and therefore he would make his book unique. Maybe it will speak HIS words. Maybe it'll emit light and float. Maybe the words will burn with fire yet not be consumed.

JC BIBLE: Instead - the JC Bible is no different from any other sacred text filled with absurdities, savagery, contradictions, mythology and errors.
